Goin’ Fishin’

Lake Ajacan – August 2017

It’s always hot here in August. But not so hot that a father can’t jump in the boat to go fishing with his sons at lunch time. When they paddled near me, I asked how the fish were biting. Pretty well, was the response. They went on to tell me that the fish have been smaller in previous summers, but this year they were getting a little bigger. The trio looked like they were having a grand time. Good for them.

Lake Ajacan is named after a small settlement in the Province of Axacan, which was a region named by the Spaniards in the late 1500’s encompassing the Chesapeake Bay and the Allegheny Mountains. I am glad you liked the title of my two friend resting.
